Jim Weaver is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he majored in Public Relations and minored in music with an emphasis in theatre.

As a school leader, Jim was class president, president of his fraternity and was elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. In addition, he served in the Vietnam conflict as a U.S. Army Support Platoon Leader.

At Tulane University in New Orleans, Jim did his master's level work in music and has since pursued his love of the stage, performing principal roles at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre.

Jim attended law school at the University of Georgia.  While there, he served as a Justice on the Law School Honor Court.  After law school, Jim joined a trial practice firm in downtown Atlanta.

Having begun his third decade of legal service in the Lake Wales area, Jim most enjoys helping his clients in trust and estate planning in addition to real estate and business transactions.

In community life, Jim served as president of both the Kiwanis Club and Breakfast Rotary, as well as a board member of Leadership Lake Wales.  He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Lake Wales Arts Council as President-Elect.

Professionally, Jim is past President of the Heartland Estate Planning Council and is an outgoing Commissioner on the Charter Efficiency Commission for Polk County Government.  He currently serves on the Trust Advisory Boards of Citizens Bank & Trust and Cornerstone Hospice.  Additionally, Jim serves as legal counsel to Help For The Homeless, a nonprofit organization that helps to feed the homeless community of the greater Orlando area.

Jim has been married to his wife Kay for over 35 years.  Together, they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.
